anyone in / around newport (gwent) with a 888+ or v1000+ ??

Post by bigbloke »

Hi All,

As I have comitted to writing a review of the wouxun kg-801 UHF , which is the first of the chinese radios to feature an scambler with 8 different speech inversion frequencies, it would be useful to compare inter-operability of scrambled radios in scrambled modes.

Through existing friends and contacts I can lay my hands on a kg-689+ and a px777+

I myself run an LT3260 on 70cm and have a few cobra 900s on 446 so that covers the main gamut of scrambled sets I know of.

But if anyone in / near to Newport has a UHF 888+ , a UHF weirwei V1000+ or even a KG-669+ (thats the old UHF version Wouxun not the 4m set - which is a 699E) Then I would be interested to set up a quick test somewhere.

Replies here or by PM please

regards

BB
