Just purchased couple of these. (MT6000e)
In response to an earlier note, does anybody have a users guide??

I'm not looking to reprogramme.

Hi Mike,
No user guides were ever produced for the MT6000E unfortunately....
I have some 'quick reference' cards for them, but they're not much good!
When you re-program them, you can define a function for each button and the top switch, such as tone burst, scan, emergency call, monitor etc...
When i got mine they were programmed to the old Fire channels (Base, Mobile Ch1 & 2 and also the local CCTV shopwatch frequency!) None of the side or top buttons did anything, until I re-programmed them.
I can send you what I have though (MASC info, quick ref card, maintenance mode etc)
Just PM me your e-mail address
Best,
Jay

Hi,
Just got roped in to our local Air Cadets as their radio instructor, and found a motley collection of MT6000E's in a box. Any chance of a copy of the RSS Software to try and beat these things in to shape? As an ex-Motorola service tech (HT800, MX1000, showing my age!) I have the RIB and GP900 test cables available, just missing the software.
Regards,
Ian

Any help appreciated...
My sports club which has a 30 acre site has just aquired some MT6000e units for use between staff.

Re: Motorola mt6000e programming info?
Hi everybody.
I am a complete newbie on this ok so please bear with me!
I want to program this radio as its my first one! But i dont want to flash it incorrectly.
I need the software and if possible an image file to upload it to my radio with the maximum frequencies, 99 i belive. I also need infomation on how to use the program either a user manual or a source file.
But first things first, i gotta obtain a programming cable. Does anybody have one spare or selling cheaply?
It will find a good home to a kean learner!
If that is not possible can anybody direct me to the name of the cable?
I sure am greatfull for anybody that can help me on this
Thanks everybody
Mark
