Purpose of RV501 on PTSR021A0X

Post by Phuture »

Looking to complete the alignment on my Westland 707 (PTBM125A0X) and I notice that the PTSR021A0X board that sits on the antenna core on the back of the SO239 in the radio is not mentioned in the service manual, nor RV501 which is a 5K preset on it. Anyone know what its purpose is and how it's set? Anything to do with trimming impedance?

Thanks

Ah I've just sussed it, it's for the SWR functionality but the question still stands on how RV501 should be adjusted?
