Post by ChubbyChops »

I've borrowed this picture off the forum as I need to know what the voltage regulator is to the left of the audio IC please.
Mine has a big hole in it so cannot see what it is !!

Thanks for that.
I'm thinking it might be a power transistor rather than a voltage reg. What do you think?
ktb1366 possibly?

All current flow through this transistor. Kind of pass regulator.
Anyway, instead of KTB1366 you could use some higher current rated transistor.

I need a bit more help please.....
The above part has fixed the RX problem and radio now receives fine.
#However, although it is going into TX, there is no power and I've got no voltage on the driver or final.
The diode by the 8v regulator is getting very hot so I think there is a short somewhere.
Any ideas where to look please?

Thanks Claude.
I'll have a look through and see if it helps with my missing voltages.
