Ive got one of these. I havent fired it up yet as Im waiting for my HP-1000 to arrive but I'll let you know if your still wanting info in about a weeks time?

If your thinking about getting one just be cautious if you want to programme it via the data cable.

I could not find suitable software for the NII version and apparently the original software mucks up the settings as different board.

Thanks for letting me know.

Doesn't the software from the CRT 7900v not work it?

Please do keep me posted

Anyone found a schematic for these yet? I know similar to other Radio's but noted the finals are listed as Q80 and Q79 (where others are Q45 and Q46), I may have to look at one for someone as it is not transmitting.

Edit

Just to add, the radio I may have to look at is the CRT SS 7900, and the board looks different again to the article in this thread.

They probably won’t release any data on it.

If the finals blown you will have to re bias it in service menu
Via current method with a 10v extra supply.

There a vid on YouTube that explains how to do a v2 Stryker
And it’s the same minus one driver stage in a 6900 and 7900v is the same I believe

Thanks, very interesting, found that video, will drag the radio onto my bench on Tuesday and check the output stage, still confused about bias setting via software, schematic I have appears to have pots to set bias? Will know better on Tuesday hopefully once I have a play with this radio.

Found a drawing with the extra Mosfet (4 in total) seems to be many revisions on this radio, pretty sure this one only has 3.

I have checked, this CRT SS 7900 has the 2 pots (listed as W7 and W9) and no link headers.

Any idea how to check the bias on this and correct readings?

Stryker v1 data would be what id use.

That manual is available online
