When I asked the Romanian chap about a Westland (when he'd sold his initial batch), he quoted me £300 saying the chap that he was buying them off had hiked the price up. I laughed. I reckoned he was trying it on.

Maybe they've noticed that people are buying them to sell at a profit so have upped the price. They are a nice radio though and the best of the bunch from this recent NOS find.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

It seems so, One has just appeared on the bay at £375+ the £15 post. Nice radio but that’s ridiculous..

£225 above the original selling price. That's sheer greed.

Image After receiving an old dog instead of the new old stock Westland 707 and the negotiated settlement which reduced the price to £50, its now in tip top working condition. Its all been cleaned up, new LED's as two were duff, replacement VCO, installed the kc shift and other improvements, complete realignment, I'm happy that old dog has learned some new tricks. Happy days :D :D

I think the easiest thing to do is look at this video from Weazle66 on youtube.

The clarifier receive pot is removed as its only 10k and a replacement 10k preset is fixed and calibrated to centre frequency. Then a 50k shift pot is installed where the 10k was, connected into the radio as per the circuit diagram. If you want further details I can help with that.

I have been waiting for my Westland patiently … Followed tracking and it had supposedly been out for delivery Friday but there was ‘no answer ‘so I have to book redelivery or collection … Funny as there was 3 at home all day … working … No knock no card … Typical Royal Mail … Anyway collected it today , nicely bubble wrapped… Haven’t had a chance to open up yet but will get to it later .. 😎
