Afternoon all, I'm just wondering if anybody has any recommendations for a 4M base aerial?
I'm using a Diamond V2000 for 6,2 and 70CM but notice that Diamond don't have anything for 70MHz. I have a simple 1/2 wave dipole for 4M, but it's not the most inconspicuous (need for a boom). Plus, a bit more gain would be nice. I could homebrew something of course, but for permanent installation it'd be great if there is something decent available.
I was looking at Moonrakers offerings (SQBM412 and SQBM458), but I'm not keen on buying Moonraker unless there is nothing else.

...Gain: 3db
dBi or dBd?
For more gain than vertical you need Yagi.

Re: 4M Aerial
Yes, this is the question. I always assume dBi unless it states otherwise. Well, some of the multiband Collinear aerials do offer some real (dBd) gain, especially for 2M & 70CM. I'm wondering if there are any such hidden gems for 4M
