Zetagi 131p

Post by CHASSISMAN »

I have a Zetagi 131p that's working but only on the 4w imput the 10w is missing can anyone tell me where its connected ,it looks like the 239 plug had coax on it originally, I can connect to the 4w line with a resistor in line but would have to take 100w ,I would just like it working correctly on both rear plugs the scematics show it with a high/low switch rather than two separate plugs.

You have the older version of the 131 that Claude posted. To be honest I don't think there's much difference between them. The HI/LO switch on the front of the new ones saves you from changing the cables on the back of yours. There might be a specific diagram for yours , but I'd need to scour the web , or email Zetagi . Shouldn't be that difficult to find the fault.

BTW You might want to add some security to your photobucket images as your family photos show up too.

I have downloaded lots of Scematics for 131 but not exact one for that model if I saw the interior of one I could see were it was connected I have even asked Zetagi and they cannot help ,lots of the scematics show the one with a switch for 4w to 10w but my one was connected somewere with length of Coax .

The "high" power cable should usually pass through a resistor or 2 , before going to the same place (relay) that your low cable goes to . I spent a few days working on my 135 and I think all of them use a similar circuit. Just to add. Zetagi aren't as helpful these days as they used to be. In the past they've sent me bits free of charge. Nowadays you're lucky if they even reply to you. Sign of the times perhaps...

Thanks Paul, I did run a cable to the other output with a 56ohm 10w resistor in line but just blew resistor so it obviously never went there will try it relay end.

Funny , but the same thing happened to my 135 on LO after I had changed both resistors . It might have been doing it previous to that , but it wasn't working at all on LO (RX or TX) when I got it as one of the tracks on the front pcb was burnt out . My Syncron 135 works fine on both HI and LO .

Looking at the circuit , the incoming signal should go straight out on RX (relay off) on HI or LO , so I've no idea . The HI/LO switch shouldn't do anything on RX , but mine did for some reason and I'm not 100% sure why . Saying that , I've sold it on now anyway , so I can't check it .
