They're not really rare - they're identical to Cobra 29 brackets. I bought a load not long back.

Yeah, I have some of those £6 Chinese black Cobra brackets spare myself and they are identical, but I just wanted the real deal gold ones ;)

The cheap black Bracket from China are not available since two years. Does anyone have a link to it?

I bought the gold ones, not Chinese black ones. That's why I said identical.

I haven't seen them for a while. I looked down my old ebay purchases but it only goes back so far sorry.

There was also another seller that sold them for a few pounds more but I suspect he was just drop-shipping them.

I bought 4 at the time as it saved a few pounds buying in bulk.

As Tim, "Otter" said above, you can buy the gold-coloured ones but they're mainly from the US and cost a little more.

You could always buy one of these, but I doubt if you would:

Nice radio Dave . I replaced the channel selector in mine as it was a bit dodgy and then Sue made me some code to make it work with the selector and expanded it to 120ch .

Nice I will get the lids off mine and we can see what is good in it.
All the controls are tight but smooth to turn so I think it has been looked after a bit. I've the 448 as well and while I am at it I may as well compare it with it too

A nice and clean Colonel FR360, a Cybernet Beta 3000 & a MkIi Cobra 148GTL-DX. Cobra courtesy of The Collector. Cheers Dave

The Colonel is getting the Maurer touch, adding FM and a new frequency counter/ band conversion.

I was 51 a few days ago (huzzah!) and one of my lovely gifts was a brand new Thunderpole T-800 for the Jimny.

Not had the chance to play much just yet, but, my goodness, it's good!

Far better reception than the handheld (see signature) which until now had been my only 11m set. And the audio - crystal, crystal clear.

I'm picking up far more local activity with no other changes to setup - TP medium or large springers on a 7" magmount - this radio really is going to be the business.

I know I could have spent more and gone with something that had SSB too, but, honestly, I'm more than happy with the UK FM 40 and EU AM 40.

Very, very pleased!
