Paddington not encrypted. Don't know about the talk groups but it's colour code 8. There is another DMR channel at Paddington on 453.9 MHz also colour code 8.hamtrektng wrote: ↑04 Sep 2018, 23:25 Is it encrypted and do you know the tallkgroups and colour codes?

Re: Paddington
It looks as if Paddington alternates between 453.550 and 453.900 MHz every so often. There appears to be alternative frequency for Reading station but I know not what it is....Chris64ex4 wrote: ↑21 Dec 2019, 14:42Paddington not encrypted. Re: Paddington
No luck with talkgroups as yet, there must be something I’m not doing right with the Baofeng 1801’s....Chris64ex4 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2019, 14:05No problem and happy new year to you. Re: Paddington
You dont need the talk groups. Just put the frequencies in your scanner at it will do the rest.

Re: Paddington
I realise that (I took the AR-DV10 to work with me which is how I got the frequency / colour codes) but the question was asked about talk groups etc. Hence my leaving the DV10 behind and taking the Baofeng 1801 instead. In theory at least if you bang in the frequency and colour code the Baofeng should display the talk groups when the channel is in use. Possibly need to take the DV10 up again, not going to Paddington all that often at the moment to be honest.

Re: Paddington
That's both the inputs and outputs
Paddington
453.550 -460.050
453.900 shouldn't that be 460.400 or is that a simplex
Reading
453.175 - 459.675
453.275 - 459.275
453 frequencies unless they are simplex have a 6.5 MHZ split. Stations can be either simplex or duplex

Re: Paddington
Its not impossible to have more than one frequency at a station. Liverpool Lime Street has Network Rail who manage it on one frequency and Avanti on another, the MerseyRail on the low level trains a different one againChris64ex4 wrote: ↑12 Jan 2020, 12:23It looks as if Paddington alternates between 453.550 and 453.900 MHz every so often. Re: Paddington
Radio Reference showed me 4 frequencies for Network Rail:
453.550 & 460.050 - user name "Network Rail Infrastructure Limited Paddington"
453.900 & 460.400 - user name "Network Rail Infrastructure Limited"
(Search Network Rail at postcode W2 1HQ +1mile)
which I saved into the scanner and got hits as reported!
I need to have a day at the various Central London stations to get more info (I have frequencies shared between Paddington, Euston and Kings Cross from RRUK!)

Re: Paddington
If you are close enough you will hear both input and output, if you look at the RRUK frequencies they have an R or a T beside them, R for Receive (output) and T for Transmit (input). what you put has 2 R's and 2 T's
