Looking for freq off village cabz taxis in dunfermline .. anyone ? any other freq off interest on the go just now for the general fife area ?
As like so many shop watch frees have gone digital can anyone advise me what the cheapest simplest solution would be to monitor the local show arch / pub watch channels ? have a cheap sir dongle here would this plus a simple software programme be enough ?

Nothing listed under that name, but it could be registered as an individuals name rather than business name.

Yes, DSD+ works very well with an SDR dongle and software like SDR# and HDSDR, the latter being my preferred software.
The biggest thing that confuses some people is the bridge between the radio software and DSD+ and their computer, you need a 'virtual cable' which is just a bit of free software to route the analogue output of SDR# to DSD+.
There are plenty of tutorials on the web.

To be honest not had a chance yet mate, with it being low vhf my regular dualband handie obviously does not cover this low so will have to check my FT857D to see if that does ?!

Re: dunf taxi freq ?
Not too sure what the appeal is of taxis unless you run a minicab and want to nick a few customers.
Most of the taxi drivers down my way speak a funny language anyway and are not understandable.
