Hello.

I have just found a realistic pro -2006 scanner in the loft and after many years of non use, The last time I used it was over 15 years ago when I used to use it to listen to the police and other services… I appreciate that these have now gone digitally encrypted and I won’t be able to listen to these frequencies any longer. My question is, Are there any known frequencies that I can manually enter into the scanner, I have done a scan in the NFM band and most of what I picked up seemed to be repeaters or just ‘noise’. I used the link on this forum that gives a list of frequencies but again I did not get anything. I live in Exeter. Does anyone have any frequencies I can use ? Im just learning how to use the scanner again as the last time I used it I was 15 year’s old… and now being 31 I’ve forgotten how to use it correctly. When using it 15 years ago all the frequencies were already programmed in, But now the battery has died I have nothing programmed… Just looking for a bit of help if you wouldn’t mind.

I don't know any frequencies for Exeter unfortunately but a good place to start is the Ofcom wireless telegraphy register. http://spectruminfo.ofcom.org.uk/spectrumInfo/licences

There you can find the frequencies of most licensed business radio users in the area.

Have a listen on the Exeter Airport frequencies (AM):

119.800MHz - Tower
123.575MHz - Radar
128.975MHz - Approach
119.325 - ATIS

Exeter airport also reported to use
446.17500
446.25000
if you're close enough

124.15000 AM Plymouth Military (East of Berry Head)

I think this trunked net is in/near Exeter

Exeter airport also uses 459.5750 and 459.900 Mhz as well.

Exeter St Davids station = 453.900 Mhz (base) 460.400 Mhz (mobile) (118.8hz CTSS)
Exeter rail depot radios = 462.075 Mhz (simplex)

Stagecoach buses have gone digital, no longer active on Band III VHF. Railway cab radios on Band III VHF shut down as of 05:00 tomorrow morning.

Various users on 449.3125 & 449.4750 Mhz.

Fairly sure the shopwatch / pubwatch has gone digital. Used to be on 453.975 Mhz, been unable to find it for some time.

Does anyone know the frequency for ahopwatch in Exeter ?

I went to Exeter the other day, i had the old MotoTrbo freqs configured but i had no data let alone speech decoding. I then went around looking for security and discovered something, Tetra band radios (Hytera is the brand they use). No snooping around there anymore, Torquay & Paignton are still using MotoTrbo repeaters/radios though. I suppose from other reading, tetra band is an assumption but they have a lot of stores on their network there so MRS have every reason to install a Tetra system, i am not aware that Mototrbo encryption was busted so Tetra is hardly a poor investment.

The post vetting is annoying, kinda weird! Hindsight, i understand why.

Each new member's first 5 posts are vetted, this is nothing to do with frequencies being posted, but to weed out SPAMMERS and those who may sign up to advertise junk. Its quite normal for most forums so please don't take it personally.
