Icom 7400 Wideband Mod
Does anyone have information on how easy this mod is (I dont trust Google results) or can recommend anyone to do this mod for me in the North East of England? Preferably having the work done here, rather than having it shipped away. Cheers

Re: Icom 7400 Wideband Mod
Does the mod loose the band edge beep? I was contemplating doing this for 60M.

Its a menu option, you can turn it on/off in there. I cant imagine that being removed from features just because of the physical mod. I'll let you guys know if/when I do the mod. Cheers for info :-)GW0DIV wrote:Does the mod loose the band edge beep? I was contemplating doing this for 60M.

Re: Icom 7400 Wideband Mod
Just seen this thread regarding this..
glad i did a google search and found Icom do NOT recommend it for the IC-7400.
ok for 40m but NOT 60m
I wonder how many radios have been damaged due to this ??
i won't bother doing my one owner mint 7400, i'll get a suitable radio for 60m.
