Re: foundation help
I did a little digging when I was doing my foundation and considered a weekend myself.
Don't Swindon do a weekend course?
If not Harwell, near Didcot do them (and they also do a course where they book the practicals and exam in so that you can self-study)

If you've been into CB for any length of time and can set up a station competently, you'll only really need to learn the licence conditions and a bit of elfin safety.

Re: foundation help
The Morse bit is only Morse appreciation and not a test. You have to receive and then send a few messages. You can receive and send the messages one character at a time and look each character up on a chart. It is really quite simple.Eddythealien wrote:he will also need to pass the CW bit...thats the bit that worries me the most

BUMP!!!!
At "Train the Trainers" we were told the official stance now is to encourage clubs to take on students who just want to do the assessments/exams and "self train" themselves. I still think foundation and intermediate could be combined into a single 2 paper exam for a majority of adult candidates.

Re: foundation help
Are people using callsigns on CB that are in the same format as amateur calls?
If so, I think that's quite legal as there is no restriction on what you can call yourself on CB, and the authorities know that amateurs would not be using their calls on CB.
Or is that the problem??
