Have not done much CB related work for a long time but since some months an old friend brings in the odd microphone or cb radio to fix or to check out, it's allways a hassle with the modern multimeter probes being to wide to have them together in the mike connector, then pressing buttons, finding out the wiring...testing the audio...
I'm building a rack with test equipment and i just completed a CB microphone tester, probably the most extensive ever build.
A selection of 23 models (can be extended), 4 connector types, Go/No go testing of rx and tx, actual resistance measurement of the switches, oscilloscope to look at the modulation and a sound generator to test cb radio or make adjsutments, including a ssb dual tone.
I've put a video on the net,
No commercial intents, i'm retired and this is just hobby stuff to keep me busy.

Re: CB microphone tester build
Interesting video, and I'm sure you have had a lot of fun making that.
I think that if you were to make a similar tester for sale, that a function to plug the microphone in and detect the wiring would be useful.
I'm not sure wheher any modern CB radios use electret capsules in the microphones. Providing for them may also be useful.
With all that design effort, codeing and electronics, surely it wouldn't take much to put an 8 way circular connector and 8 way modular connector for testing ham radio microphones. Still, maybe you don't have a need.
I love projucts like this.
