Hi everyone,

I know this is an old post but did any one have any success with the Wagner 309, I'm just about to look at two of them as well as a Super Jaguar and Ferris SSB8000.

Hi Ashtec,
Similar this way as well. I changed most of the electrolytics and some burnt resistors and started to tune. Still have a few more to finish.

For saying they have a bad rep i don't think they was all that bad as for the 510 i've never owned one.
I always like to get my hands on a Wagner SSB home base but i could never get my hands on one sadly. :(

He moved to Bulgaria some years ago for a while, then came back to UK and the last I heard was that he's living in an old gypsy caravan and is roaming the countryside. That's a few years back now and I don't think anyone has heard 'owt since. Be nice to have an update though.
The perfect face for radio.

UB drifted away from the hobby due to personal circumstances IIRC. Great lad, big miss to the forum.
