Re: Manxman
Some are simplex, some are duplex. The Ben-My-Chree conventional ship and Manannan fast craft both use 454.825 on dmr, same talkgroup code and slot. I have the 14 different frequencies at tone combinations for ships that come into Heysham. There aren't 14 different frequencies. They have to have different CTCSS or DCS tones so not to get confused alongside each other on harbours with multiple linkspans. Stena Scotia uses 456.0125. Rig tenders use 456 and 457.xxx frequencies too. It's not uncommon for ships to use the vhf channels for manoeuvring into a berth and embarking.

Re: Manxman
Manxman now using 454.825 as she is now in service, the same as Ben My Chree, Manannan and possibly others. The Ben will be running at night for the next 3 weeks, Manxman during the day then Manxman with take over both night and day

Re: Manxman
MV Arrow which is one of theirs has no on board handhelds on 454 or 457 - 467 frequencies. In Heysham I've heard them on marine channel 38 when manoeuvring. The harbour crew that drive the tugs are on 166.6625 dmr, the security on 453.325 also dmr
