Wouldn't have minded as much if i had been using it at the time but was only using it for RX, It spends most of its time packed away and is only used for the odd camping trip, Its an early model (Not an ND) Version) Apparently early versions had a habit of blowing finals if batteries were left in, Something to do with the final self oscillating, Mine doesn't have batteries in it, Not a clue how the final blew when it was sat in a cupboard not being used.Getting a low carrier on a nearby radio, So certainly looks like the final has checked out
