Re: Superstar 3900 (2023) Export Mod
Wonder if this radio will have the same issues as all of the other new type radios...for example phantom s5 of noies on the s meter also front end agc ssb overload...to name just a few. Will it also have a v7 in the near future after all these issues are resolved...think I will pass on wasting my hard earned cash on this.

In theory it should be good since the original design is from the 80's. It will be interesting to see if it is a fully sorted radio.Pinksnake wrote: โ27 Jan 2023, 19:55 Wonder if this radio will have the same issues as all of the other new type radios...for example phantom s5 of noies on the s meter also front end agc ssb overload...to name just a few. I know that the board is new to the chassis but surely it should be half decent but only time will tell

Re: Superstar 3900 (2023) Export Mod
From what I saw on videos the "ghosting" S5 needle is there as always with new chinese radios.
On SSB RX the needle seems not dancing. So AGC seems to be set to slow, but sounds good.

I think i will stick to the early Dirland versions. I haven't had the best of luck with reliability on Quixiang sets.

Re: Superstar 3900 (2023) Export Mod
I thought I'd quite fancy one of these, but would rather something with a built in frequency counter.
I want something old school, especially re the signal meter. And even more so the galaxy DX959 type meter.
Any recommendations are appreciated

Bit sweeping.
The Stryker 955v2 uses this type of pcb but with their
Specs and itโs an absolute monster.
