41 Years Of Legal UK CB Radio 02/11/2022

On 2nd November 2022 we celebrate 41 years of legal CB radio in the United Kingdom.

In previous years a nationwide net has taken place on the corresponding channel number, however, we have now gone beyond channel 40 and need to decide which channel to use for this years event.

I suggest 2 options:

OPTION 1: Channel 1 - We start again at the bottom of the UK band, after all if you are on channel 40 and click up one channel you end up on channel 1

OPTION 2: We pick a fixed channel to use this year and in years to come, for example, we could use Channel 27 to signify 27Mhz


So please comment on how you think we should proceed...

So I wonder, In another 59 years - when we have nuclear fusion power, hover cars, human form androids, and interactive 3D holograms for most things - will we be celebrating UK CB's centennial anniversary and the grandchildren and/or great grandchildren of TM1's admin will be running this show?

I reckon people will take the pi$$ out of them, not believing that we could have used such things like that to talk to other people a mile or two away (or just our neighbours a few doors away).
