According to the link above you need to lift one end of R245 And wire a potentiometer in series with it

Used a 5k potentiometer but it was too sharp so i put a 680ohm resistor across the potentiometer to limit it to 680ohm. Goes from around half a watt to near 30 watts. Thanks again to ch25 for the info.

Best thing is that it works on all modes and doesn't distort signal transmitted.
