Excellent 👌
I'm waiting for his eBay limit ban to be lifted and I'll be looking to grab one of these.

Do I need one? Hell no but that's never stopped me

I've managed to resolve with the seller for a replacement which has now been dispatched along with a Westland 707. I've requested he pack them in a box with some packing material rather than just send the bare box! Fingers crossed!

Hopefully you will have no further issues. I think you must have managed to grab the last of the Westland's, as they've apparently sold all of them and the Lafayette AFS-1005s.

I messaged them today and they've said only CB Master 3600s and Lafayette 320s left.

Obviously selling by other means, as said his eBay limit is still to be lifted.

My 707 has just arrived. Not at home but the Mrs says the parcel arrived and doesn't seem to have had a rough journey. Ordered on Christmas Eve but was only posted on the 5th January. Doesn't seem to be any extra fees.

I ordered mine a few before Christmas and it arrived on the 5th. Taking into consideration Christmas and new year holidays plus customs it really isn't too bad a delivery time. If it's like mine and everyone else's it'll have been posted just in it's box with no outer packaging. Hope it's all OK when you get home.

As with others my Westland 707 was sent without any outer packaging to protect the box and it's contents. The amount of parcel tape and labels was ridiculous. However, with a bit of care, I've managed to get it all off with only very minimal damage. So it will all come off just don't grab and pull. The worst part was some incredibly sticky double sided tape which I managed to remove using the adhesive side of the brown parcel tape.

Finally the radio. Working perfectly with no issues whatsoever. Definitely a good purchase at the price. I wish I'd managed to pick up a Telsat too but they'd all been snapped up sharpish. Still very pleased with the Westland though.

Hello Claude.

I'll take a few more of the outside of the radio and the accessories. I won't be removing the lids though as there's no need. Perhaps someone else will oblige.

Definitely correct as far as the packaging is concerned. Radio posted in its original box and not much else apart from loads of brown parcel tape. It got here undamaged which is a miracle to be honest.
Anyway the radio came complete with the manual, original coffin mic stamped 'Westland', unopened side screws and bracket. Only just noticed that the powerlead has no fuse connection so in effect it can't be used unless you solder and piece an inline fuse.
That's not really a problem as I have a few powerleads here that fit.
Switched radio on and works fine, about 14 watts AM/FM and about 18 watts SSB. Clarifier is locked.
I'd say that they need to be serviced and checked over but on the whole very happy with it.
