I'm new to dmr what about ccolur codes and repeater slots what do I put for them

That's the beauty of owning a digital scanner... No need to know CC, Slot or Talkgroup..

and the problem with transceivers is that SOME people will use them to disrupt services. NOT saying you would Didgy, but it has been known to happen in the past

Not that much in the town anyway. Apart from Uni and Golf, and the occasional aircraft into Leuchars

Believe parking attendants are using network handsets. As for covid center at Victory memorial hall. Only heard a couple of transmissions on 460.1875 dmr. Didn't get the cc or TS. Uni are on 455.650 DMR and 456.675 DMR.

Ok cheers not sure if it's just where I am in town I'm not hearing much think I need to get a antenna up on roof

Thye last bit was the critical bit. Handheld radios are very short range, so if you want to hear things further away, the highest and broadband-est antenna is critical stuff. Retevis RT3's are quite nice radios, but they are NOT, in any shape or form much use for scanning when you don't know who or what your digital signals are!
