Heard traffic on 2182 about 3 weeks ago, not seen any info to say that the freq has been discontinued for Distress etc.

I was under the impression, rightly or wrongly, that 2182 was no longer actively monitored.

I read it on the internet, so it must be true?

A belated good evening to yourself yagiman!

I'll be giving it a bit of a listen and see if anything comes out of the hiss but the bands have been up and down recently.

They can't even answer the 'phone, how long does it take them to answer an HF distress call‽ Or maybe that's the trick to getting hold of them?
