Lancashire low band snow plough/ gritter freqs

Post by g8tzl2004 »

I've been listening to the Lancashire gritters on low band 87.2000 and 87.1875 MHz.

I think there are 3 control centres - North, East and Central/South

Central South (West Lancs, Chorley, Preston) is on 87.2000 MHz

East (Burnley, Pendle) is on 87.1875 MHz

BUT I hear nothing for Lancashire North ie Lancaster, Wyre and Fylde. Does anybody know if the Lancashire North gritting area is using low band radios in the vehicles? The Ofcom database has 87.2375 MHz as a possible Lancashire County Council frequency but I hear nothing. I am using a 66 - 88 MHz low band aerial so I should be able to RX Lancashire North is they are TXing on low band.

Any ideas re the Lancashire North freq?
