Trio Kenwood R2000 tuning problem

Post by Clipper »

After years in storage, I've got my 2000 out and powered it up. Never had any problems in the past but now the VCO seems unhappy, frequency display is just flicking up and down but essentially not tuning. I've searched Google of course and found the VR1 and VR2 solution, tried this over a few days but can't seem to sort it, any other tweaking suggestions or will it be a soldering job? TIA

You need to repair VCO circuit.
WE ARE MOTÖRHEAD, AND WE PLAY ROCK N' ROLL
You can't have too many antennas...
