UV-3R MKII "Priority" query

Post by MiXiN »

Hi Guys,

I've been tinkering with my Baofeng MKII and have stumbled upon something that's confused me. A search doesn't reap any results.

Under option 19 in the menu, there is a function named "Pri" which I presume is priority - I've set it to "on".

On other bits of radio gear I have, Priority momentarily checks Channel 1, but on this UV-3R it isn't.

Can anyone please shed any light on this or tell me what the default priority channel is, if any?

It's whatever memory channel you choose. You might have to set that via software, and the pri feature did not work on a lot of older models.

Neither of my MK2s even have memory option 19.

Thanks a lot guys.

I've programmed everything manually as opposed to using software so this explains the problem.

I'll get the cable and software and get this sorted asap.
