Not much happening on the North East Forum?
Hello all, I've noticed there is very little activity on this part of the forum.
I'm in Gateshead & new to scanning, used to have 100's of CB's back in the day....
Just wanted to say Hi. So "hi"

Re: Not much happening on the North East Forum?
Way back when......... North of the Tees was County Durham and South of the Tees was North Yorkshire, apparently the little village of Nunthorpe is trying to ditch Teesside/Middlesbrough and wants to re-join North Yorkshire lolseahawk wrote:We are all too busy talking on C.B. lol.

Well I'm in Billingham, which is NORTH of the Tees, does that make it County Durham?

Not any more loljackbromby wrote:Well I'm in Billingham, which is NORTH of the Tees, does that make it County Durham?
Billingham and Stockton used to be known as County Durham, then it was Cleveland until 1996 and now I think we are all just plain old Teesside

That's an odd frequency. Are you sure?
Durham Cathedral have used 169.8375 (167.9) for many years.

Ah, the harmonic. I should have guessed really - above 500mhz is for studio mics and so forth, I think.
The only other stuff I heard in Durham was a taxi firm with very chatty cabbies and a music-player on high band.

See if we can jump start this thread once again!
Most of the frequency lists posted are well out of date now.
Does anyone have a relatively up to date list?
Maybe a few frequencies for us newbies to listen in to?
I've had a look around the web and it seems the Newcastle/Gateshead area in particular are sparsely covered.
