Got a Lincoln first gen with a red coloured module but have no clue what this can be

As not having a mic with up and down buttons can't test it at the moment

Not sure if that useful and might going to remove it in the near future as I don't like this kind of hacks in HF gear also will restore the LCD back lighting to remove the current LEDs

just press the up and down on the radio if it stays on say 781.2 it's the mod for the 'revert to zero' mod.

The Up and Down keys on the transceiver just moves around on the channels not frequencies so out goes this hack

Well took it out and found a sticker on it; SJ Tonks

Did some google and found info about it and do respect Mr. Tonks works but disrespect the so called rig doctor who installed it badly by just hacking in the existing wiring and made a mess of it so took it out as I don't like bad hacks

It probably never worked hence the transceiver came without button mic from fleebay
