Wouxun KG-UV950 sticking Tx

Anyone had this problem where the radio seems to stick on Tx?
I have 2 of these KG-UV950 trx's and I have isolated the problem to a control panel. (the panel is detachable for remote mounting via an 8p8c "RJ45" cable
before I dive in and see what I can see, has anyone had this issue before now?
