Replacement Handheld Antenna

Post by specializedrider »

I have been looking around for a replacement antenna for my FT4XE and the Diamond and Nagoya antennas seem to be very popular but I know there is fakes going around. Can anyone recommend a good antenna?

Thanks

I did this a while back, and the conclusions are that the vast majority of antennas available are pretty poor performing. This YouTube video includes potential counterfeits and odd designs.

On my FT-65, the antenna which comes with it does a better job than the Nagoya.
