New to cb radio
Hello I'm new to cb radio I'm in horwich near Bolton and often transmit from my car parked near winter hill, I've had a couple of contacts but the picking seems sparse. Is this reflected across the UK...

Re: New to cb radio
Welcome to TM1. I know a few people who regularly go to Winter Hill to play radio, so you're in good company.
CB certainly isn't as-populated as it used to be, but there has been somewhat of a resurgence during Lockdown.
You could try heading to the Hill when there are scheduled nets or some skip running which should help massively. Also let people know you're heading up there, from experience if people know you're making an effort, they'll turn on their radios to try and work you :-)
