Baofeng BF-V8 Two Way Radio Review - Tested on PMR446

Post by Transmission1 »

Thought I'd share this video I posted on YouTube a few weeks ago of the Baofeng BF-V8 including a real life test for DX.
Available in the UK for around £14 from Rugby Radios and it's a great little performer for the money. Great for hill top DX and programmable by Chirp if you're looking for value for money. Yes it's not technically a 446 radio but perfect for those who want a little more range ;)

I watched your review on YouTube, absolutely brilliant and has convinced me to purchase a small handheld PMR Radio to see if I can hear anything while out and about on the hills.
Would you recommend this radio over the Retevis RB615?
Also do you know if the BF-V8 can scan?
Thank you.
