Re: What CB/11m Radio Stuff did you buy today? (2021)
The NOS Westland 707 has arrived. I need to do some on air tests but so far I'm happy with it. Who'd have thought, a brand new Cybernet radio in the 21st century!
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!
Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

I've a new V7 KPO DX-5000+ on its way.
As a 6900N owner, I'm curious to see if the new noise reduction circuits actually help reduce noise, or if it's a gimmicky implementation of Amateur DNR. Amongst some other changes, I'll also be interested to see if the new vented cooling reduces heat.
Should be here tomorrow.

Just bought a mint-looking York 861 with mic' & lead for £27, purely for the original mounting bracket on it. If I recall, it's the same size chassis-wise as the 863 and the bracket will fit my Mk3 148 GTL-DX then.

Isn't the 861 slightly narrower than the 863.
The rotel 220 is narrower than the 240

I hope not, but I've never had one! The bracket looks the same type. Will let you know soon.lambrettadave wrote: ↑02 Feb 2022, 10:32 Isn't the 861 slightly narrower than the 863.

It's so nice it was a shame to let it go at £27 anyway as I've seen them go for £45+ before now.
Edit- 162mm wide..nuts lol. The 863 etc are 180mm. Oh well

I can confirm that the Fidelity 2000 bracket doesn't fit either. The Collector wrote: ↑02 Feb 2022, 14:35I hope not, but I've never had one! The bracket looks the same type. Will let you know soon.lambrettadave wrote: ↑02 Feb 2022, 10:32 Isn't the 861 slightly narrower than the 863.

Re: What CB/11m Radio Stuff did you buy today? (2021)
I've got 126 radios here, but I was just too lazy to go up in the loftshack and check the compatible radios!
I'm sure the York 863, Rotel 240, Harrier CBX are the same size but I'm surprised the Fidelity 2000 doesn't either. I wonder if the 2001 does as it might be a touch wider as the knobs are further apart? Maybe the Cybernet Beta 3000 and Radiomobile 202 are too?
I'll have to get up there and check for sure

Re: What CB/11m Radio Stuff did you buy today? (2021)
I only collect some radios, like I have the Rotel 240, but not the 230 and 220. I do have some crappy radios because them being boxed is rare. Now I've got some SSB radios too, I'm fast running out of shelf space in the loftshack.
I'm not as bad as some. I reckon Bigpimp probably has 500+.
