Are mic plugs = Aviation GX12 ?
Hi All .
Just looking around Ebay for some stuff . I've noticed that "our" mic plugs are also known as Aviation plugs . However , there's a few types of these depending on the thread size . Are ours GX12 . Does anyone know ?

I am not sure of the name, but I have seen 4 pin screw-ins the same as on radios fitted to some soldering stations.

Yeah. There are GX12 and GX16. Just wanted to clarify which ones were ours.

GX16 I think, 16mm outside thread diameter (just measured it).
The perfect face for radio.

Cheers Mitch . Yeah . I've measured mine too , but the plug is 12mm and the socket is 16mm , so I'm not 100% sure . I'll try and find the official specs for them .

Yeah . Think they're GX16 . The 16mm refers to the inside diameter of the securing coupling . The outside is 18.3mm

I've also seen these plugs and sockets used to deliver 12v power as well as for microphone useage.

I've bought GX16 and they seem corret. The ones I bought off Aliexpress are terrible quality though.

Well I' bought some , so we'll see how they are. I bought them on eBay and not from AliExpress direct. I'll post back when I get them.

Re: Are mic plugs = Aviation GX12 ?
Got mine a couple of days ago . Quality wise they're fine , and the shipping was fast . Bought some 5 and 6 pin ones . I already have some 4's that I bought a while back .
These are the ones in case anyone's interested .
