Does anybody have any suggestions for freqs in Cornwall to scan for?
Any will do as there is not much activity near me it seems.

Not familiar with freescan - The only frequencies I can think of are the ones mainly used by taxis on VHF - although these are fed through repeaters nowadays and constantly flick through a series of about 4 different frequencies.
