Need some general eBay UK help

I'm doing fine Paul. Still look in on here on occasion, but still not rekindled the radio bug in any serious way.

To provide you with a little more detail.

Ebay.co.uk - can't see anything of yours when on a UK IP range.
Ebay.co.uk - can see yours when on a Spanish, France or Irish IP range.

Ebay.fr - can't see anything of yours when on a UK IP range.
Ebay.fr - can see yours when on a Spanish, France or Irish IP range.

So, that points to Ebay using country IP's to Geo Block irrespective of you selecting sell to the world, Europe, Continental Europe etc. Kinda makes a mockery of those choices they provide.
Essentially if we want to see your items we need to open a VPN to a European Country and then we can see you r items irrespective of the Ebay domain we log into.

So why can we see the tums that he is selling

As Stronty says , it looks IP related , as I can see all 5 items on Eby.co.uk from here in Spain without the VPN , but the TUMs have the exact same shipping defined , so that kinda throws the IP posibility in the bin . Might be a bug in my user configuration somewhere ? I'll call eBay again on Monday and see what they say .

Hi Andy. Sorry. The original led listing was removed. I created another one using the TUMs as a template . The number for that one is 134753362908.

I think the easiest test now is just to do the advanced username search. That's the one that seems to just show up the TUMs and not the 4 other items.

I'm talking to Ebay now as I type (on hold) . It might be a Ebay.co.uk issue . If I VPN to the UK and look on Ebay.co.uk for my items I don't see them . Also from a UK IP address . If I connect to Ebay France I don't see them either .

If I disconnect my VPN and return to Spain . If I look on Ebay Spain I can see them . I'f I connect to Ebay France then I can also now see them .

Anyway . I've just hung up the phone with eBay Spain . They can't see what the problem is either , so they're escalating the case to their support team . I should hear back from them in 24-48 hours .

I'll keep you all posted .

Ebay's got a few glitches.

I had a guy who'd already bought 4 of my radios and other stuff off me put a bid in on my gold-plated Cobra GTL-DX a minute from the end of the auction. It told him that he was the highest bidder as it does. However, the auction ended and not only didn't he win, but his bid didn't even show up on the list of bidders! Weird. He was gutted as he'd been waiting months to get his hands on it. I was gutted a bit too as it would've possibly pushed the winning price up by another £40! Grrr. I told him to complain to ebay and at least get them to check it out.

The REALLY annoying bit for him though was that I'd offered to sell it to him weeks before for £111 less than the winning bidder paid for it! I think he thought he'd risk it and hopefully get it for less on the auction.

That's the way the cookie crumbles.

I've just connected the VPN to the UK and a search on my username on Ebay.co.uk now shows all my 5 items . Could someone else confirm this before I call eBay this morning .

I've just added a radio now as well , which seems to show up already in Ebay.co.uk

Only Tums shows up here on eBay UK, area select makes no difference either, nothing at all on eBay .com, both with UK (sky internet) IP.
Edit: ebay .es 6 items, ebay .fr & .it none, but with Claude's .fr link it shows 5 items (no tums). Strange or what?

It's weird that I can see them on Ebay.co.uk with the VPN (UK) active and you guys can't . I deleted all the browsing data and cookies etc on my PC before searching .

Anyway . Just spoke to eBay again this morning for the 3rd time . I've told them to escalate the issue , so we'll see what happens .

Hey!

So as before, open VPN to Barcelona from UK, use Ebay.fr and i can see all your Items including the newly listed Jopix.

However,

If on Ebay.uk and open VPN to Barcelona only TUMS.

So, I still think its Geo Blocking put with an added layer of type of Listing i.e. Electronics etc. being buggered with. Good luck with it Paul, hope its resolved soon.
