Which Vhf marine channels are used in North Cornwall

Post by KILLERPARSNIP »

Hello all,

I'm off to Cornwall in the near future and wandered if anyone knew which marine channels are generally in use, I intend to program them into my little Baofeng,.

Thanks all

Well - I'd start with 16,14 and 12 - ch 0 for the coastguard/lifeboats, 31, 37, M2 and 80 for leisure craft and marinas, and then the usual ship to ship ones - 6,8,72,77, plus maybe 10 - so much is unofficial and distinctly local. Some in the 60s - 62,through to 67 for the coastguard broadcasts and similar. I assume you mean the Bristol channel area, so lots of medium size ports and little places.
