New VHF airband frequency allocated to low-level comms...

Post by Piggly »

Hi All,

A new information release from NATS (AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION CIRCULAR P 047/2023) has appeared today and gives details for a UK-wide VHF frequency available for use in class G airspace below 2000 ft. It is referred to as the "VHF Low Level (LL) Common Frequency" and can be found at 130.490 (channel) or 130.4916MHz frequency.

Enjoy!

Indeed it has been used as a trial but this circular now makes the use permanent.

I added that frequency to my scanner yesterday and found it quite active.I'm in the Midlands.
If the problen cant be sorted with a "LUMP-HAMMER" then its most likely to be an Electrical fault
