Anytone at 5555 no rcv noise on ssb.

Hi all,,been a while since i visited this forum but here goes,,i have purchased a Anytone AT-5555 which has a fault,there is no sound atall coming from the speaker in ssb mode even if the squelch knob is turned all the way in both directions but is fine on fm and am,is there a known problem with these radios? is it something i am doing wrong or is there a fix for this fault,,any help apreciated.

Switch to USB and check if 8V is present on junction of C20 and R128.

Also check in the radio's menu settings, someone may have had a dabble and made a mess of things. Or you could try the factory reset option to see if that solves the issue.

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

Check the simle thing first lik ASQ turned on...auto squelch
