I know its not due to start till July. But the build up is already on. Currently have the car parking / Security using 163.5625 CC1 TS2

I’ve stayed at the hotel a few times and hotel staff use 459.125 analog
I’m not sure if that’s the input of a repeater or simplex.
But I would guess simplex as not a massive area to cover.

Outside broadcast vehicles much more entertaining and all analogue FM - loads of frequencies, most continuous carrier and you need to search in 441 - 446-455-457-461 which are where the main OB legal tx channels are - 441 is usually simplex. The rest go through the comms matrix, so will be either engineering, production or occasionally sound and logistics.

Used to listen to the BBC down in the lower NFM freqs. Im not actually in Carnoustie. But picking theses up across the water in St Andrews

Encrypted litter picking squads? That's actually funny to think you spend time searching for digital frequencies, discovering the talk groups and colour codes to discover ......... rubbish~!

The only thing that would force encryption is folk keying up and jamming the channels
As long as folk behave then it should be ok

Not round Manchester, as soon as frequencies with full details (CC, Group and Slot) appear online they disappear within weeks. Its looking that way up and down the country.
