Thats nice pal,at least the module lets you have General Coverage Receive
Cheers mate
Theres an easy mod to enable TX on 12m, so I'll do that at one point. Yeah, the General Coverage module adds a bit of flexibility.

Today I have mostly been buying a Radioddity x Baofeng RD-5R. Now if I could find some useful codeplugs for the Manchester area I would be a happy camper.

Yaesu FT-225RD in superb clean condition,it has the Mutek front-end PCB fitted & i have installed a New Old Stock Comm-Spec CTCSS unit on to it so repeater access is now also possible,a lovely old radio to operate & nice & sensitive on receive with the Mutek PCB installed

Nah your alright pal

had loads of those 101ZD's ,nice hybrid HF sets

it looks like yours was originally the economy Z version (analog frequency scaled version) and somebody has added the digital counter unit to make it the ZD version as if it had come from the factory with the digital counter unit fitted then the badge would of said ZD,not that it makes any difference as it's still the same radio

Hi Drew pal, i could'nt resist to give it a home

yep i have the original RX front end pcb here, not a patch on sensitivity compared to the Mutek, just keeping it as i spare in reserve should anything ever happen to the Mutek pcb, saying that when i acquired the Mutek PCB it was deaf as the BF981 N-Channel Mosfet Dual Gate Transistor had failed,i bought a genuine Philips BF981 off Ebay for just £6.90 & fitted it to the Mutek & it sprang back to life,so (touch wood) should be alright for years to come
Regards,Shaun.

Correct Sir, 10 points to Gryffendor

I had it from Nick BS a few years ago, well worth the trip down!! I absolutely love the look of these vintage Yaesu radio's.

,think i have an actual proper 101ZD badge here somewhere,(or should have) as i break radios for parts that i sell on ebay, they are only held onto the front panel with light glue,so not hard to remove.
