Sea Cadet HF / MF Net

Post by radiogaga »

Anyone know if the Sea Cadets still run HF/MF Nets?

My daughter goes along to Cadets, years ago I recall their being a G5RV on the roof but it's long since gone. Be great if they did still run HF Nets to get her in to the radios.

Cheers

I don't think any marine operators run "nets" anymore, except the ones used to catch fish! ;)

Best bet would be to get her to ask. More useful to her in this day and age would be learning how to operate satellite equipment. If she takes up a maritime career, thats going to be an awful lot more use to her.
