Numbers Station on 5130 in AM

Was just scanning around the HF bands and got the tail end of this...

Anyone know what station it could have been?

That's about as close as you can get to an unanswerable question. There used to be loads of these Out East back in the day, and we had them too. Some used to play a little tune for a while before they started. Even if you knew where they were, you'd still be none the wiser :)

Yes, I thought it would be a tough one as I didn't catch the start which usually plays some sort of identifier.

Still plenty around out there though doing secret squirrel stuff!

It's just BS from the Eastern Block to make us think that the Cold War is still on.

Don't worry, everything is fine.

Yes, sleep soundly. The world is just one big warm cuddle.

The Crimea is lovely this time of year, Ukraine loves its mummy. Syria is just like Camelot. Kim-Jong-Un is just wiggling his toes in a foot spa. Iran has sent a nice box of chockies and some flowers to Israel.

I think that we are well past the Cold War now. This is the early 'phoney war' stage of World War 3.

Ah, thanks. That explains it. In this digital age, it seems strange that a great power is using a cold war method.
