Might be of interest rescue 121 talking to newcastle rvi whilst on helipad useing 130.65 am.also samson ops at airport.

Thanks for the frequency, just need to get myself a scanner to listen.

I wonder if they use it here in Middlesbrough at the James Cook Hospital helipad or over at North Tees General?

Interesting find. Worth checking. Assume not confused with the Coastguard airband channel 132.650 which is infrequently used by SaR aircraft.
Was watching Helicopter Heroes last year and they mentioned 123.000 which seems to be used in the Midlands and the North West but never come accross it in the North East

I've been monitoring 130.65 since the original post.

I've heard a couple of calls to what appeared to be an ops unit, but no callsigns identified.

Tonight I heard "Kilo 3 ambulance" after he had called a station whose name I did not catch. Asked if the ambulance was on site (presumably a land ambulance).
Also asked if "same pad as 'Ocean Sky' ?" (Ocean Sky is a private jet company)

No idea what airport he was calling, nor where he was.

Incidentally, 123.0 is Wolverhampton / Halfpenny Green AFIS, so that's not an ambulance ops freq.

130.650 is Samson Ops at Newcastle Airport. Could your recent monitored conversation and the previous reported calls have been a SaR helicopter dropping into them for fuel? Have monitored this one myself for couple of weeks but heard nothing but Samson and Multiflight at Leeds Bradford who use this one also.
123.000 is indead Halfpenny Green. A very busy frequency at times. It is also used by Air Ambulances in the Midlands and North West however.

PS: 160.650 also Loganair Ops at most Airports in Scotland.

I've since found out that 130.65 is also used by some ops unit at Manchester and East Midlands — haven't establish any callsigns yet..
