Looks like their at it again. Heard inbound LoganAir flight about 20 mins ago reporting laser pen on their final. They reckon it was coming from carpark at Clydebank college. Do folk honestly not know how stupid this is.

Yes, thats why the do it. They should be done for attempted murder, that might stop them.

There was another helicopter flying about the other day. Strange as the callsign they used (police 51) was the one used by the downed chopper. Think this might be reserved in Police Scotland for heli support. As i'm typing this I can hear Police 51 calling Prestwick Tower asking for permission to return to base. Strange why their asking Prestwick.

think the callsign belongs to the force so can be used in any aircraft they want, could be wrong. I would think the other chopper will be wrote off now.

Funnily enough I did see UKP51 on the radar a few days ago, he was milling about down Dumfries way.

With regards to the laser attacks, unfortunately they are all too common these days. I'm guaranteed to get one just about every nightshift :(

Do you put a STAR report in for every one, or just inform 'Five 0?

These laser pens have been a damn danger all along,I think they should be have been licenced before being available for use. What can be done to stop more of them being sold to irresponsible people? Sadly I fear not much.
