Hill top web site for all UK people

Post by knight »

I was trying to find any web sites with information on Hill tops to talk to people and could not find any. So I have made a CB Hill top web site for the UK.

Here is the link and there will be a link to here soon.

http://cbhilltopsites.weebly.com/

I hope that people will help me to help others.

Dont you simply head for the high ground? Its usually a bit of a giveaway - The bits near the clouds and furthest from sea level!

Image signs are also a good indicator... ;)

there is a list on wiki called "A list of highest paved roads in uk" or try the same for scotland or wales as well, you could at least add them as a start.

Did'nt people use to keep hilltops secret?

Bing Maps can switch to ordnance survey maps which would show View points which is helpfull

Thanks for that, as soon as I get my own CB going I will be going out and finding some areas to talk on CB, I am just trying to find the parts needed and I will look at what you have said.

I just adding Walbury Hill in West Berkshire and I will put down how many cbers called back. Will have to listen in first as I not going to know what to say, when I did it you had to go "14, 14 for a copy" Now I do not know. I carry on adding this hill anywhere.

There seems to be an error in your webpage already - :( - Theres an entry in the "North" section which is away down south in County Durham, some 25 or 30 miles south of the line of latitude that sits halfway between the Northern and the Southern extremities of the UK.

Edit: Opps just realised that this is the TM DX Group forum and I don't have a TM callsign. Just posted for the Hill Top Website

Although, I like to go here
