Just an update HMP Leeds still Analogue on 451.8500 mhz

Hi there, I am from the Morley area. Picked up some very weak and broken transmissions on this frequency 2 nights ago. Nothing special just someone needing access to block B. Just thought I would update

Yes thats the prison, i pick it up patchy at other side of leeds.

Picked up the prison today. They were quarying whether a prisoner had escaped. Do they do training in this or would this of been the real thing?

god knows, would think if they had an escape they would use the airwave system but cant see them having enough sets for every warden.

Every now and then at random(?) (or when the numbers don`t add up) they do what`s known as a stand fast roll check where they sound the alarms and run a head count all round the jail

They send officers to set points around the fence/walls and get numbers from each wing/block or education/work place and they don`t stand down or let anyone in or out until the roll is reported correct

Around this area of 10 miles south of Birmingham.You can pick up as clear as anything,I think its Long Lartin prison Nr Redditch /Bromsgrove ..In actual fact its signal is so strong i normally keep it locked out.

A lot of activity this morning from Armley including at least 2 fire alarm activations

Busy this morning a strong signal 5-9 but i do use a external antenna.

seems to have gone dead now, moved to full Tetra or just moved bands?
