Besides, I like tinkering and customising my radios... so an Electronic Monkey board had to be tried, if only to satisfy my curiosity. "Monkey see ... Monkey do" as they say.

I've played with it, but I expect it's more use on AM than either the FM (not at all) or SSB (possibly good).
My main reason for getting the board was the .wav bleep though and I expect most people will feel the same. Nice to have the other features included though... you never know when you might want to set up a Beacon playing "Hallelujah" *every fifty seconds#

Maybe you could simply condition yourself to say "Wotcha talkin bout Willis?" instead of "Over"?

I like the look of the monkey box, but I think it may be too expensive for a toy. Shame about the echo, they could have put something useful on instead, like a robot voice
