oh right good. I've got some frequencies for buses. You can hear the control but not the buses reponding as it must be a trunked system and I don't know the frequencies for the buses.
The control frequencies are:
139.755
139.995
139.645
139.870

Re: London?
(Better late than never) You'll find them 8.5 Mhz higher in the 148.00625-148.99375 range.bben95 wrote:oh right good. I've got some frequencies for buses. You can hear the control but not the buses reponding as it must be a trunked system and I don't know the frequencies for the buses.

I just picked up some of the 139 transmissions in Birmingham, must be a bit of a lift on.

Re: London?
Wow thats cool. Are they all exactly 8.5Mhz above the channels they are talking to? Or were you just saying in general they are about 8.5Mhz up?Minus1 wrote:(Better late than never) You'll find them 8.5 Mhz higher in the 148.00625-148.99375 range.bben95 wrote:oh right good. I just heard a bus when searching the range.
The ones you heard could have been from somewhere else, not the london ones, as I've heard the others operating on the same frequencies.

Re: London?
That's just a few of them and those frequencies are slightly off, they are actually on 6.25KHz ofsets.Minus1 wrote:bben95 wrote:oh right good. I've got some frequencies for buses. There are a load more base channels in 139.5-140.5MHz.
Just google ibus for the full list of base frequencies and the transmitter locations.

So are the bus to base frequencies not related to the frequency of the base - do you just have to guess which are which by listening to the conversations?
Do you know also if they in 25Khz wide fm or 12.5

Re: London?
If you bother to google ibus frequencies you will this radioreference page and with the simplest of mathematics you can see some of the channels are 12.5KHz apart.Do you know also if they in 25Khz wide fm or 12.5
The current system is only a few years old. 12.5KHz maximum per channel has been standard in the UK for a long time.

Re: London?
Yes I assumed they would be but when I put one of the frequencies in as narrow fm it sounded distorted so I changed it back to 25Khz and it sounded normal again.normal wrote:If you bother to google ibus frequencies you will this radioreference page and with the simplest of mathematics you can see some of the channels are 12.5KHz apart.Do you know also if they in 25Khz wide fm or 12.5

I did go to that site before and I have the frequencies from there in my scanner already.

The buses transmit 8.5 MHz higher than the base, in the 148.00625 to 148.99375 range, NFM.
